New furniture From 'Bentley Home'
The new Bentley Home collection is inspired by the renowned craftsmanship and exquisite materials that characterise the interiors of all Bentley models. Designed to furnish luxury homes and offices, the collection combines Bentley’s inherent qualities of craftsmanship, heritage and tradition, exclusivity and style, with the exacting design of one of Europe’s leading furniture makers. This exclusive collection blends the finest elements of traditional and modern design, an exercise in subtlety rather than showmanship, incorporating functional performance with comfort and luxurious, sensuous quality. It captures the elan of the Bentley driver, through items that mirror the impeccable quality and attention to detail which is a landmark of the Bentley brand.
The bodies of the new Richmond pieces are created with an embracing double shell and can be covered in either leather or a fine veneer of burr walnut. The same wide selection of veneers which is available for Bentley car customers is also available for most pieces in the collection. The wood is then carefully matched to a padded structure covered in a sophisticated light cashmere. The seating reflects the level of comfort and luxury found in the Crewe-based marque, which makes it unique in its class.
The colour palette is composed of varying neutral tones of ivory and taupe matched with shades of beige and cream. Intricate details such as the leather braid around the contours highlight the soft and sinuous lines. The iconic quilted diamond pattern embossed in the leather interiors of a Bentley has also been interpreted into the unique designs of the furniture.
The new collection consists of the following new pieces:
Richmond
An elegant and sophisticated line of seating which includes sofas, chaise longues and armchairs. The enveloping external structure can have a veneer finish or leather cover. In contrast, the inner structure is covered in leather or linen or in fine cashmere velvet. The profile is embellished by a leather braid.
Madeley & Kendal
A large oval or round meeting table with refined Kendal chairs embellished with leather and the Bentley logo which can be embroidered on the back, on request. A trapezoidal structured table made of curved wood panels with edges embellished in hand-made leather coating. The feet are made of steel with a gun-metal finish.
Sherbourne & Kingsbridge
Tall and short leather-coated cabinets with veneered fronts; these are also available in smooth or quilted leather. Tone-on-tone lacquered interiors with external coatings and shelves of crystal represent the luxury and quality of both Bentley and Club House Italia, part of the Luxury Living Group. The handles and feet are also made from steel with a complementing gun-metal grey finish.
Harlow
A modern coffee table with metal steel structure and a complimentary gun-metal grey finish. The surface is made from onyx or leather coated.
Canterbury
The bed is characterised by an imposing headboard, embracing coated structure available in leather or fabric. The shapes are soft and convoluted, working in harmony with the contemporary and informal line. An innovative duvet cover, Fibra di Legno®, is a high-quality fabric made from wood pulp that gives the yarn softness and smoothness, adding to the luxurious feel of this piece.

Poetica: A Charming Celebration And Delicate Depiction Of The English Countryside From Harlequin
The Harlequin Studio has turned to the glorious English countryside in search of inspiration for its latest collection, Poetica, which will be launched in September 2013. Named after a species of daffodil, Poetica is an enchanting homage to the natural beauty and intrinsic charm of England’s spectacular countryside and its delightful cottage gardens.
In style and feel, Poetica is reminiscent of a nature lover’s scrapbook, filled with notes, sketches, cuttings and botanical studies of flora and fauna. Yet Poetica also enjoys a contemporary edge with an array of attractive and complementary textures and effects: limed paint, handmade paper, wooden wall panels and even a distressed paddle finish, which was made using an old wooden butter paddle as a printing tool! The overall effect is vintage with modern accents, highlighted by sparkle and shimmering mica contrasts.
The whimsical prints include botanical studies of daffodils, magnolias, poppies, trees in silhouette, grasses, seedheads and ferns, drawn with a refreshing lightness of hand and tinted in watery hues. They are accompanied by a distressed-look, textured printed plain and a selection of enchanting embroideries, embellished weaves, floaty linen voiles and attractive appliqués. The innovative wallcoverings are big on texture: they have a light, airy, at times even coastal, feel encompassing effects such as limed wood, crackle glaze and brown paper, which form the highly effective backdrop to the delicate botanical motifs.
The prints, weaves and wallcoverings are complemented by Poetica Wools, a selection of tactile, textured wool mixes in an understated, natural palette. The Wools are suitable for both drapes and upholstery.
Poetica is enhanced by an appropriately delicate colour palette, which is predominantly white, with neutrals and nuances of soft, limed pastels. The pared down shades include: parchment, paper, pebble and almond through to linen, hessian, oatmeal, straw and buttermilk. The collection is highlighted with soft accents such as coral, peach, powder blue, dusky pink, fern and primrose. For dramatic effect a few sultry dark shades, such as French navy, slate, pewter and mocha, have also been introduced.

Launching The Eco Shower Revolution
A groundbreaking new eco showerhead has launched that not only boasts a striking halo-shaped design, it provides a powerful, invigorating shower experience - all whilst saving water, energy and money in the home.
The Orbit, from eco shower specialist Ecocamel, combines cutting edge aesthetics with unbeatable performance. Despite its hollow centre, it uses 10 clusters of carefully positioned nozzles (in a unique 'bicycle spoke' pattern) to provide an even spray and full water coverage. It also uses advanced AirCore technology to inject maximum power into your shower and features a unique rifling system for a consistent high-speed flow.
"You might think that having a hole in the middle means you would feel a gap in the water spray," says Ofir Neuman, director of Ecocamel. "But with 40 overlapping high power jets of water - the beauty of the Orbit is it actually delivers a bigger and better spray than a typical showerhead would!"
As well as providing a powerful, spa-like shower sensation, the Orbit's pioneering AirCore technology is proven to use an average of 74% less water compared to other leading showerhead brands.(1) The less water you use, the less energy you need to heat it; so you can go green and save money on your bills at the same time. In fact, it can even cut a home's hot water bills by a massive 40%.(2)
The Orbit's AirCore technology works by injecting air into the water stream through a small inlet in the handle. This forces water out of the showerhead at high speed, increasing the pressure. The result is a fantastic, satisfying shower experience, where water droplets burst easily onto the skin and soak you more effectively without splashing or wasting water.
Adds Neuman: "The Orbit takes the technology used in our already successful JetStorm showerhead to the next level. We've worked hard to really push the boundaries of design, whilst combining maximum power with minimum environmental impact and lower bills!"
The chic, chrome showerhead also incorporates wipe clean nozzles and detachable faceplates for easy cleaning. It simply screws onto your existing shower hose, making it quick and hassle-free to install yourself.
A stand-out feature for any bathroom, the Orbit comes in two colour variations from classic white to statement orange. To buy yours visit www.ecocamel.com or phone 0208 211 3666 (RRP: £69.95).

Butterfly Domes From O SC ARS Interiors
O SC ARS are pleased to present this stunning collection of Victorian butterfly glass domes. Available in-store now as well as through a bespoke made-to-order service.
In the makers own words:
''I've always loved Victoriana and, in particular, the Victorian passion for displaying birds under glass domes. It occurred to me that beautiful butterflies, displayed in the same way, would make a stunning alternative. In my work I mostly use original antique glass domes, the quality of the hand blown glass truly reflects the natural beauty of the butterflies and moths. I use a variety of butterflies which are all supplied by a UK based privately run enterprise which promotes the study of butterflies and moths and uses captive breeding programmes to increase butterfly population to help ensure the survival of many British and exotic species. My passion for birds continues and is reflected in Altered Curiosity pieces, such as "Joy" and "Midas". These pieces are made using vintage and antique curios alongside other natural materials, including butterflies, to make work which aims to evoke intrigue and curiosity." Charlotte Proudlove
Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information and a full catalogue. All items can be seen in our showroom at NEO Bankside, alernatively please visit experienceoscars.com

About MinaLima
MinaLima was founded in 2009 out of a coincidence of ideas between Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima. Mira and Eduardo had the extraordinary fortune to meet on the set of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and immediately forged an alliance of creativity and humour, connecting them in every design decision from then on.
Mira studied Film Design at The National Film & TV School, London, after graduating from Central Saint Martins with a degree in Theatre Design. A career in film design then began, with Mira eventually specialising in graphic and prop design for some of cinema’s leading production designers.
Eduardo graduated in Visual Communications in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and for several years worked in editing on major Brazilian feature films. He moved to London in 2001 to enrich his professional experience, harnessing a career in graphic design upon his engagement in 2002 on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets where he met Mira.
Mira and Eduardo spent ten years creating elements of the graphic design for the Harry Potter films. As the creators of the graphic representation of the Marauder’s Map, the Daily Prophet and every other graphic prop in the film series, they have a superb and passionate understanding of the Harry Potter films. The graphic design aesthetic MinaLima developed for the Harry Potter films is still sought after. The Coningsby Gallery
Established in 1994 in London’s thriving Fitzrovia, The Coningsby Gallery has become renowned for its dedication to outstanding contemporary illustration and graphic art. Collaborating with both upcoming and internationally recognised artists, the gallery showcases a diverse range of fine, bold and innovative applied arts across the board. Unique about The Coningsby Gallery is that it coincides with Début Art, one of the world’s leading agencies for visual communications artists. This provides the opportunity to promote and exhibit a selection of the world’s finest artists, such as Alex Trochut, Gabriel Moreno, Dave White, Jon Burgerman and Alan Kitching, both artistically and commercially.

Mini Moderns Launch Darjeeling Wallpaper
Eastern Chakras meet sunburst emblems and glam rock stars in the Darjeeling print. The result is a design that coordinates with and reflects the themes of the 'Buddha of Suburbia' collection, whilst maintaining a stand-alone appeal. It's a kaleidoscope of cultural and design influences.

At the same time, its tessellating geometry, rendered in Mini Moderns' signature contemporary colours, has a distinctly modern edge.

C-Pump - ChauhanStudio Presents Its First Design For Joseph Joseph
ChauhanStudio has collaborated with contemporary kitchenware specialist Joseph Joseph to create C-Pump: a new soap dispenser with an original and hygienic hand-pump mechanism. The unique 'C' shape handle allows it to be pressed easily with the back of the hand, while a shorter body gives character and stability at the base, making the dispenser easy to operate. A simple quarter-turn opens the pump for refilling.
Tej Chauhan explains: "Joseph Joseph approached us to produce ideas for a new soap pump. When exploring the various scenarios in which soap dispensers are used in the kitchen, we quickly realised people needed to get soap without actually handling the pump too much. A good example is after handling raw meat or fish. There are hands-free electric solutions on the market, but we wanted a reliable mechanical solution."
Since its foundation in 2003, Joseph Joseph has represented the most innovative solutions in contemporary kitchenware, becoming internationally recognised for stylish and technically advanced products.
ChauhanStudio Director, Tej Chauhan, and Joseph Joseph co-founder, Antony Joseph, both graduated from Central St Martins at the same time, entering the design world to later found their own creative studios. This is their first professional collaboration.
Débuting this month at the International Home & Housewares Show in Chicago, C-Pump has been awarded Best Product Design for the prestigious Global Innovation Award (GIA). The show is the world's premier housewares marketplace, featuring 2,100 exhibitors from across the globe and introducing the GIA Design Award in 2011 to recognise the most innovative home products reaching the global market.

Say 'Non' To Moths With Angela Flanders French Moth Herbs
French Moth Herbs - Sweet Smelling Misery for Moths
A Chinese Emperor moth can detect a familiar fragrance six miles down-wind. It can just as easily be driven away by a scent that it really detests, such as Angela Flanders' French Moth Herbs. Fortunately they do not have the same effect on humans, who find the blend of herbs and spices rather pleasant.
Angela's attractive herb-filled sachets and linen sprays have accumulated a loyal following since their launch in 1991. Based on a traditional French recipe, the mixture contains ingredients such as lavender, rosemary, sweet woodruff and peppermint.
Simply place the herb bag in your wardrobe and drawers to ward off moths. Moth Herb bags are £8.50 or £15 for two.
Complement with French Herb Wardrobe Spray containing our effective blend of moth repellent herbal oils, super easy to use in wardrobes and drawers, and a great travel companion too from £25.
TOP TIPS FOR MOTH ERADICATION
• Never store away unwashed knitwear, always wash or dryclean before storing for the summer.
• Ensure that the drawer or cupboard is also clean & dust free, this is just the place they like to hide.
• Spray drawers or cupboards with French Herb Wardrobe Spray regularly through the season.
• Pack away clothes in breathable containers and make sure that you brush vigorously your unworn coats and cardigans regularly, particulary turning out any fluff that may gather in the pockets.

Save Money On Your Heating Bills Automatically
The warmer months may be just around the corner, but this is the perfect time to consider making changes to your home heating system to ensure it is as energy efficient and cost effective as possible.
With fuel bills continually on the rise, opting for a woodburning stove is not only a greener option but will also save you money in the long-run too, as burning wood is far cheaper than gas or electricity.
And with £150 off a new Hwam wood burning stove from Euroheat for a limited period, now is the perfect time to make the switch.
As well as being a striking focal point of any space, with a wide range of styles and sizes to choose from, Hwam wood burning stoves are also fitted with an autopilot, which adds up to even more savings.
The Hwam Autopilot has been designed to automatically control your stove, burn more efficiently and use less fuel. In fact, a Hwam Autopilot stove is 40 per cent more efficient than a non-automated stove, saving the average homeowner a further £199 a year in fuel.
The Hwam 3420 automatically burns as efficiently as possible, adding up to big savings in the long-run.
The Hwam Autopilot means there's no need to worry about manually controlling the air supply, as the stove optimises the combustion automatically. Assuming you run your stove for just six hours a day during the winter season, the efficiency savings of using a Hwam autopilot could add up to savings of almost £2,000 over the next 10 years.
The promotion runs until 30 June 2013 and covers the entire range of Hwam stoves including the new 2600 and 3600 solid side stoves. To claim your certificate you must register at www.euroheat.co.uk/hwamoffer

Founders Collection Launched In Celebration Of Kährs' Heritage
Kährs has introduced a new collection of rustic one-strip floors. A celebration of Kährs’ Swedish tradition and fine craftsmanship, the Founders Collection includes eight new oak designs and joins Kährs Original Range. Each floor is named after a member of the Kährs’ family, that founded the company in 1857, and features a stunning combination of hand-crafted finishing treatments.
Designs within Kährs Founders Collection include Oak Fredrik, Gustaf, Olof, Sture, Johan and Ulf. Each board measures 2420x187x15mm and has an individually-toned Nature oil prefinish. Heavy brushing, handscraping and smoking emphasise the lively grained timber and tactile finish, whilst a distinct bevelled edge complements the boards’ single plank format.
All floors from the new Founders Collection feature Kährs ethical, high performance construction. Based on Kährs original design, patented in 1941, the award-winning construction uses sustainable hardwood down to the joint only, with fast-growing timber below. This design, alongside Kährs Woodloc® joint, provides greater stability, promotes fast installation and eliminates gapping throughout the lifetime of the floor. Floors are finished with water-based stains and solvent-free oil and can be laid on most dry, level surfaces – and over underfloor heating systems. For more information, please contact Kährs (UK) Ltd on tel. 023 9245 3045, email [email protected] or visit www.kahrs.co.uk

Spring/Summer Bathroom Trends 2013
Creating your own bathroom design ideas can be a daunting process; do you choose to go with a super stylish, luxurious theme or a more simple and practical plan? Luckily, Victoria Plumb is here to guide you through the spring/summer key trends of 2013 and hopefully inspire you with some innovative ideas so you can create your dream bathroom.
Unexpected Colour
Throughout 2012, we saw a lot of monotone pallets being used within the bathroom, which although calming, it left us feeling a little dull. However, we are now glad to be seeing that a splash of unexpected colour is one of the hottest trends for 2013, especially bright hues such as oranges and reds.
Adding colour to your bathroom can be made easy. Stick to the same bright tone and include it within numerous features to really make an impact; simple colour splashes throughout your accessories such as your towels, bath mats and tissue boxes can provide an instant uplift. If you're looking for a more dramatic effect; why not try fitting some eye catching blinds or include a feature wall of your chosen colour?
The key is to be brave with your colour bursts and take a minimalistic approach when choosing your bathroom sanitary ware, flooring and main wall colour.
Outdoors In
Nature-inspired neutral tones and patterns are going to be big this spring/summer, with a continued emphasis on last year's light creams and whites, beiges, browns, and greys. However, please don't think that this means boring - as it far from it. This style is about featuring numerous textures and tones within your bathroom; materials such as wood, marble and stone work perfectly to achieve this look. Team these earthy textures with shiny, high-gloss and glass finishes, along crisp white sanitary ware to achieve a high-end, luxurious bathroom design.
Spa-Like Retreat
With the hectic, modern-day lifestyle that most of us lead, there is an increasing trend in consumers bringing the calming, spa-like experience into their home.
Replicating your visit to a spa can be quite easily achieved; echo features such as complimentary wall and floor tones, include thick, soft towelling and ensure you install subtle lighting.
If you are renovating your entire bathroom, an important feature is to include a high-quality, luxury roll top bath as this radiates spa-style and creates a stunning focal point. There's also a solution if you're short of space because Victoria Plumb's free-standing roll top baths are also available in both small and large sizes to accommodate all bathroom needs. Smaller details, such as fixtures and fittings also influence the look and feel of the room - by choosing sleek and stylish taps, shower-heads, switches and handles this will keep the theme consistent and flowing throughout your bathroom.
However, we appreciate creating a sense of tranquillity and calmness is sometimes difficult in domestic situations, if you keep to a minimalist design and place your cleaning products and everyday items within a bathroom unit or mirrored cabinet this will help achieve the desired look.

Make Mess Look Less
Man started out as a hunter-gatherer searching for food and lighting fires for warmth. As time went by and man evolved; things changed... hunting was banned, fires became smokeless and shopping became the new gathering. Before you could say 'eureka', women were shopping till they were dropping. We at The Camouflage Company noted the change. We worried about the mess and clutter of consumerism and came up with a good idea. If you can't change it, hide it! The art of concealment began here.
We started in the garden by camouflaging garden covers so they look like part of the scenery; we took a picnic to the park, and watched our bags blend into the background. Then we had our 'eureka' moment. If we can make a garden cover blend rather than stick out like a sore thumb, and picnic bags look like they're part of the scenery, surely we can camouflage our clutter and make mess look less? So we went home, sorted our stuff and designed utility chic, a stylish innovative collection of bags, boxes, carriers and covers that takes storage out of the dark ages.

Classic Choice From Crosswater
Perfect for classic bathrooms, the new Belgravia brassware collection from Crosswater brings sophisticated elegance to the ever popular nostalgic look.
Belgravia brassware is a great partner for period style sanitaryware and for freestanding roll top baths - but will work equally well in adding a distinctive touch to contemporary room schemes. This comprehensive collection of six basin and ten bath/shower mixers is designed by Crosswater's founder and Chairman David Hance, and manufactured exclusively for the Company in Europe.
Belgravia features three different handle designs, Crosshead, Fleur De Lis and Lever and an enormous choice of fittings, ranging from standard basin monobloc mixers to floor mounted bath fillers for authentic period styling.
All the items in the range are made from top quality brass castings, which provide excellent performance and the finest detail.
Individual assembly and meticulous hand polishing by craftsmen gives the chrome plating a deep shine, adding to the period appeal of the collection.
The classic Crosshead has authentic fine-porcelain hot and cold indices, or for anyone who wants a more Edwardian look, there are smart ceramic Lever designs. Crosswater prides itself on developing brassware collections that meet every design need - so Belgravia also includes Fleur de Lis, a take on the classic Crosshead that brings a touch of timeless French styling. The spokes of the hand wheels in Fleur de Lis have a gentle downward curve finishing in a soft teardrop-shaped end. This look works beautifully with marble topped vanities and with classic console basins.
David Hance explains, "There are very few brassware collections that offer as much choice and variety as Belgravia. No detail has been overlooked. We understand what the customer wants and the team here at Crosswater design and specify exceptional quality taps in exclusive partnership with the very best European manufacturers."
As well as the standard range of basin and bath fillers, the Belgravia collection includes different spout heights on monobloc basin mixers; long or short nose pillar taps; wall mounted basin and bath fillers; tall floor mounted bath fillers, and bath shower mixers; deck mounted bath shower mixers with a lift-off telephone style shower handset.
David Hance, who has been personally involved with the design of all Crosswater's ranges for over 20 years, has also ensured that Belgravia is packed with technical advantages. Quarter turn operation on all taps makes them perfect for British water pressure. Handset cradles are all 'no wobble', low-lead brass is used throughout and industry leading, high performance Fluhs cartridges are used for all items. Wider bath filler spouts enable the bath to be filled at speed and matching hot and cold isolator taps are a thoughtful, practical feature available with Belgravia. Used widely all over Europe, isolators allow the hot or cold supply to bathroom fittings to be shut off without turning the water off elsewhere in the property.
As is customary with Crosswater products, Belgravia is offered a full 15 year guarantee.
The Belgravia collection is shown in Crosswater's new brochure, which can also be viewed online at http://www.crosswater.co.uk/crosswater-new-products-2013/ or via the revolutionary new Apple brochure app available free of charge through iTunes.

The inclusion of hidden storage units and a raised bed add excitement to your child's room and will make them proud of their unique bedroom. At Sharps we pride ourselves on the service we offer and to ensure everyone feels involved in the design process we will work with your children to create a room reflective of their personality and incorporate all their needs."

La Forge De Style Unveils Furniture Line At French Design Forum
La Forge de Style, which was founded in the USA, specialises in upmarket metalwork for the construction of railings, stairs, doors and gates, as well as high-quality furniture. The company will display its creative work at the French Design Forum, on 14 March 2013, in central London (UK).
Founded in 2002 in New Jersey (USA) by a French-born ornamental metalworker, La Forge de Style is a specialist in artistic metalwork. Since 2009, the company has had a second production facility in the Loire Valley (in Western France). The company is dedicated to the construction of railings, stairs, doors, gates and grilles, along with high-quality furniture. Rich materials are used in the fabrication, including aluminium, brass, bronze, copper, iron and titanium.
In 2013, La Forge de Style will be developing its own range of furniture under the Mobilier de Style name. The luxury furniture, made by craftsmen in France, will represent a unique collection that displays a variety of finishes and patinas.
The company will exhibit its work at the French Design Forum 2013. This event, open to members of the trade and the media, will take place at Chandos House, in central London (UK), on 14 March. [RSVP required: see at the bottom of this press release.]
From its American birthplace to France, La Forge de Style has won great acclaim in the design and creation of upmarket pieces of furniture and metalwork. Thanks to its experience and savoir-faire, the company's craftsmanship meets the expectations of a discerning clientele.
La Forge de Style responds to requests worldwide from interior designers, architects and other interior-decoration enthusiasts. Having worked on various high-end projects, the company has built up a client base in Europe, the Far East (China and Singapore), the Middle East, Russia and the USA.
La Forge de Style has gained global recognition as a result of supplying some of the world's most beautiful luxury shops and private residences for more than 10 years. In 2010, La Forge de Style was awarded the Métiers d'Art (Artisanal Craft) label as recognition for excellence in applied art and craftsmanship. The company has also been given the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label, thanks to its contribution towards preserving France's artisanal heritage.
The company's team is made up of 25 highly qualified employees based in two sites — one in America and the other one in France. Thanks to its in-depth knowledge of architectural styles, La Forge de Style is able to submit custom-made drawings to clients, which are created free-hand and give an accurate idea of the piece and design that are being considered. Subsequently, AutoCAD architectural software is used to transcribe the design, in order to finalise it from a technical standpoint.
La Forge de Style then manufactures each part of the design according to time-honoured artistic traditions, while the quality is controlled at each stage of construction. Samples of different textures and patinas are produced and shown to the client for approval before being applied to the object. The company can also, if required, provide textures that will be exclusive to an individual project, thus making it unique.
From design to installation on site, and through all the stages of fabrication in the workshop, each piece is studied by the company's technical team in collaboration with the client. At his (or her) request, and depending on the complexity of the project, La Forge de Style can intervene on site in order to install the manufactured works, while co-ordinating with other trades where necessary. The project is, therefore, followed through to final and successful completion.

Design cooperation between smart and BoConcept: Urban mobility meets urban living room
smart, the car brand for urban mobility, and BoConcept, the Danish urban interior design specialist, have pooled their expertise in the disciplines of “form” and “functionality”. Together the design teams of both brands have created a collection of furniture and accessories and a smart fortwo cabrio. The aim of the design process was to combine the best of both product worlds: the inviting comfort and the warm personal touch of your own home with the vitality and speed of city life. The “smart fortwo BoConcept signature style” and the “smartville collection” will be presented in the BoConcept Friedrichstraße Store in Berlin on
28 February 2013. The collaboration began as creative exchange about urban design and resulted in the two concrete projects because the requirements in terms of design, functionality and quality are very similar in both areas. The increasing limitation of usable space is a big challenge both in the car industry and in the design of living space – especially in the context of an urban environment and city living. This is why smart and BoConcept have both risen to the challenge of developing intelligent, space-saving solutions, but with no compromises in terms of design and quality. For example, the intelligent smart mobility concept provides an answer to limited parking space and multifunctional furniture helps optimise limited living space. At the same time both manufacturers offer their customers the widest possible options for individualising their products. “smart and BoConcept unites one common aim: to make optimal use of the limited space available in the city with attractively designed products – products that allow our customers to both express their personality and organise their lives, and that also enable relaxed communication. The intensive exchange with BoConcept about how to create inviting living spaces was very exciting. It resulted in special furniture and a special smart that you feel at home in wherever you are in the city”, explains Dr. Annette Winkler, Head of smart. Claus Ditlev Jensen, Visual Director of BoConcept, adds: “It is of course a new experience for us to work with a car designer. The creative expression within the limits but also within the options of car design was extremely inspiring for us.” The smart fortwo BoConcept signature style Taking a smart BRABUS cabrio (75 kW) as their starting point, the designers from smart and BoConcept developed a vehicle that unites design trends from both product worlds. The exterior has a fresh and elegant appearance. At the same time the interior, which is dominated by natural materials such as leather and felt, has a warm, cosy character. The typical smart bodypanels come in matt crystal white. Matt colours have found their way into car design inspired by home interiors where matt surfaces are very exclusive. The open texture of the paint offers both a high-quality look and an attractive feel. The typical smart contrasting colour on the smart fortwo BoConcept signature style is a matt oriental brown metallic. This is found on the tridion cell and the door mirror caps. The soft top is also brown. The colour is a clear reference to the wood colours of the furniture world and looks very elegant on a car. Stripes in smart light lemon that adorn both the door mirror caps and the matt oriental brown metallic BRABUS Monoblock VII alloy wheels provide an eye-catching contrast. The interior clearly carries the signature of the Danish designers: it is dominated by the tobacco brown leather that covers the seats, the interior door trim, the indicating instruments and the sporty BRABUS three-spoke steering wheel. A grey felt material has been worked into the seat backrests, interior door trim and the upper part of the knee pad. As on the exterior, the smart light lemon also creates vivid accents in the interior – in the quilting and double stitching on the seats, on the steering wheel and in the surround of the indicating instruments. The BoConcept lettering on the black velour floor mats and the labels sewn into the seats mark the cooperation. The trim of the oak gear button is the first time that real wood has been fitted in a smart. As of March 2013 BoConcept Stores in various cities around the world will be using the smart fortwo BoConcept signature style as an agile brand ambassador. The smartville collection The jointly designed smartville collection reflects the colour scheme and materials of the smart fortwo BoConcept signature style in the furniture and accessories. At the same time the functionality of the smart is the driving force behind the designs. The heart of the collection is a modular sofa, whose standard size of 2.69m corresponds exactly to the compact measurements of a smart fortwo. The furniture collection is supplemented by an iconic lounge armchair with several references to a car seat as well as a coffee table which is modern and light in its look. The accessories collection includes smartville tableware, special cushions and a table clock that smart customers will recognise from the cockpit of their smart fortwo. The smartville collection is available from 5 March 2013 in all BoConcept stores around the world and online at www.boconcept.com.

Authentic Cast Iron Designs In 20 Classic Colours
The design of Cast Iron radiators has remained relatively unchanged since they were introduced 200 years ago, continuing to bring timeless design and a touch of quality to interiors. Today, they have moved on to offer more flexibility with extensive colour options and sizes, suiting both modern and classically styled homes.
The Radiator Company is the largest UK supplier of beautiful newly cast radiators with a graceful range of painted Cast Iron designs. All Cast Iron radiators are available in a choice of the top 20 elegant RAL colours and are powder coated for an elegant matt finish. Alternatively, they can be supplied in a matt primer, ready to be painted in any shade to complement the home. These traditional designs blend well with their surroundings creating an authentic look and can also introduce eye-catching blocks of colour in rooms that lack character. They're also impressively functional with their ability to retain heat once they've reached their optimum temperature - even once the central heating has been turned off.
Attention to detail is prevalent with the Trieste range featuring an intricately engraved column and ear design to add a touch of Georgian splendour to rooms. A traditional cast iron footed end design; the Trieste is available to order in six heights up to 10 sections wide, which can be supplied in wider dimensions upon request.
Perfectly complementing Victorian style properties, Bianco and Ludlow are the original imported cast iron schoolhouse designs that take form with 19th Century dimensions and create a charming, period atmosphere in the home. For a feminine touch, Bianco features a round top finish whereas Ludlow is finished in an industrial square top design. To complete the look, beautifully hand finished solid brass valves are available in both manual and thermostatic options that have been made in the UK. In addition, two styles of feet are available on selected ranges that include the standard Cast Foot or Paw Foot with a distinctive lion paw design. For a modern interpretation, Ancona® is a bespoke steel radiator that's available in nearly 200 colours and special finishes with a choice of wall hung, welded feet or cast feet. Ancona® is beautifully made to order in Italy and designed per section so it can be sized to fit any room.

Transforming Your Home on a Budget
The difficult economic situation in 2012 meant the mantra was certainly “Don''t Move, Improve” and with consumers facing similar economic challenges in 2013, this mantra is set resonate in more homes, for more people, for even longer.
This has seen consumers wanting to improve their homes yet few will have the time or the money for a full room renovation. With the economic challenges, facing us all, set to stay for the foreseeable future, the DIY makeover is on the increase. Home owners are limited to cosmetic changes - a lick of paint, new tiles and a change of flooring. Most consumers are not able to employ the services of interior designers, builders or painters and decorators to carry out the home improvements they would really like to have completed.
So how can you transform your home, show off your unique style and taste, whilst keeping within your budget?
The key to this is how you ‘dress’ your room. Colour choice, fabrics, soft furnishings and ‘objet d’art’ are all essential to creating and placing your own unique personal style and feeling on a room or space. When friends, neighbours and family visit you, you want them to immediately notice your distinct taste and style. You will create your own style from what you have seen and experienced but you don’t want your home to be an exact copy of somebody else’s home, style or taste.
When finishing a room, a major statement of you, your style and your taste will be made by your wall space and the images you display on this, the focal point of your room.
The need to dress wall space at home or in the work place in an exciting, exclusive and inexpensive style has resulted in an increased demand for “Wallart”. However the marketplace has now become flooded with poor quality, mass produced canvases of readily available ‘stock’ images. This type of product really fails to compliment all the hard work you have put into tailoring your home with your creative signature.
ThePIC recognised this and wanted to give the consumer something individual, that they wouldn’t find in their neighbour’s home. We have successfully achieved this by stocking 1000’s of exclusive images, from talented photographers from around the world, enabling consumers to now bring the art gallery into their homes without paying gallery prices!
Our canvases start at £39.99 and come in five different sizes to suit any room, any style and wall space large or small.

MiaFleur
The 12th October 2012 saw the launch of brand new online homes and interiors boutique, MiaFleur, launched to fill a gap in the market for truly individual homewares, with a strong emphasis on items made in Britain.
“MiaFleur is fun, quirky and just a little bit eccentric.” Hollie Brooks, Founder
The site stocks a quirky range of interiors products, including handmade textiles, home accessories, reclaimed and vintage furniture and some incredibly weird and wonderful ceramics. The tagline, ‘Because life’s too short to be minimalist’ sums up the style of the site perfectly. With so many wonderful products and a plethora of colours and patterns, you can’t help but smile.
MiaFleur dispels the notion that handmade, need look homemade. With exclusive designs from textile designer, Emily Rose and ceramic artist, Ami Derbyshire, the site brings a new look to handmade.
Founded by Leicester based mother and two daughters, Jacqui, Amelia and Hollie Brooks. The brand new collection of handmade textiles by MiaFleur was also launched with the site, a collaboration between creative sparks behind the business, Jacqui and Amelia.
All three have a penchant for eclectic styling and a desire to stand out from the crowd,
“We don’t want our home to look like anyone else’s and the best way to ensure that is to not only make our own homewares, but to scour the country’s craft and design fairs to find the most individual pieces from other designers and artisans. We created MiaFleur because we realise that not everyone has the time, ability or inclination to do that. We source the very best homewares on offer and bring them to you in one place.” Amelia Brooks, Founder
Both Jacqui and Amelia graduated with degrees in textile design and draw their inspirations from very different sources, which is what gives the brand its quirky edge. Hollie, on the other hand graduated with a degree in Fashion and Textile Management, which seemed the perfect pairing to team up with her mother and sister, with them designing and creating and her heading up the business side of things, always on the lookout for new and inspiring design talent to snap up for the site.

Convenient For You, Great For The Environment: InSinkErator Has The Answers
Most of us now realise the necessity of being kinder to the environment than we have been in the past, but we are still largely ignorant of how much our kitchen appliances can help us to achieve that objective.
Kitchen technology and design has improved tremendously in the last ten years’ alone, and some of the most environmentally effective products are those that fly under most people’s radar. InSinkErator®, the global leader in food waste disposers, and a major player in steaming hot water taps, has some very sobering and pertinent facts for our attention. For while these products might not be among the sexiest on the market, they are certainly great for the environment and a valuable time and motion saver for the user.
Food waste accounts for about 20% of all household rubbish and it is reckoned that local authorities could save around £33¹ per household if everyone were to use a food waste disposer. Food scraps that have been through a waste disposer can be used to create biosolids as part of a holistic waste management approach. When the recycled material is used as a power source, soil conditioner orfertiliser, the cycle begins again.
With a disposer, food waste is dealt with hygienically and instantly and less food waste ends up in landfill to contribute to methane and other greenhouse gas emissions.
InSinkErator’s range of top quality steaming hot water taps, which provide instant hot water, are also convenient andsuper-efficient. In the UK, millions of litres of water are wasted each day while people wait for hot water to reach the sink. In a large house, 40 to 50 metres of pipe may extend from the water heater to the most distant sink.
With a steaming hot water tap, hot water is available on demand and this immediate availability means little to no water waste. There are many other advantages too. Near-boiling water from the hot water tank can mix with tap water to quickly and economically fill a basin with dish water. Cooking utensils can be cleaned on an efficient, one-off basis, while instant foods, tea, coffee and hot beverages requiring hot water can be prepared without the need to heat water in a kettle, on a stove or in a microwave oven.
Ashley Munden, InSinkErator’s Sales and Marketing Director, says: “InSinkErator® products are an immensely shrewd, long-term investment for the kitchen and their many and varied benefits to the environment are probably immeasurable. The savings on waste and precious water are genuinely substantial and the appliances are stylish and of the highest quality.”

Reclaimed Furniture - Stand Out With Ease
Consider reclaimed furniture and what it's made out of. You'll notice that reclaimed items are made of solid hardwood, repainted with fine paint, and often times mixed with rustic iron or other metals to create unique pieces that you will not find in many shops or stores today.
Upon lifting the items you'll know that you're investing in something that will last a lifetime, not just a few years before something breaks down. When searching through many styles and options, you'll often find that the New England reclaimed hardwood furniture style is quite impressive.
You'll have a good rustic feeling with distressed paints and hardwoods showcasing the reason why it's far superior to buy reclaimed than modern furnishings.
For those that don't really understand the difference, consider the two for a moment.

Expert Advice...
Louise Rocco, Interiors Stylist & Managing Director, Hot House explains
How to create different interiors with wallpaper"
1. Reflect your furniture
"To help you tie elements of a room together, choose a print of wallpaper that can be reflected through your furniture or soft furnishings. Opting for a simple pattern like this 'Maze' by Harlequin, will easily allow you to echo a similar type of design featured. Modular and retro styled furniture with bold, colourful accessories would partner this wallpaper perfectly due to their symmetrical quality and matching simple design. We are lucky that many wallpaper designs now feature as both fabrics and wallcoverings, so you can ensure that you get the exact cushion cover to match your chosen print. This will draw attention to both the walls and the furniture, creating a unified interior with a sense of harmony".
2. Be inspired by nature
"Bring a sense of calm to your home and choose a wallpaper print that's inspired by the natural world. This beautifully subtle 'Leaf' wallpaper by Harlequin, features an oversized translucent leaf silhouette that evokes luxury. Not only does the print's muted palette help soften the interior wall but its understated botanical print looks great all year round".
3. Go stripy
"Stripes can be extremely effective for creating new depths of space as they can change the proportions of a room, adding height and/or width. For a modern approach to traditional striped wallpaper, opt for a blurred horizontal stripe that bleeds into one another. 'Demeter Stripe' by Harlequin offers a wonderful alternative to the vertical two-tone solid stripe. The dramatic bands of colour create a hazy effect that is reminiscent of a sunset at dawn, while the horizontal stripe gives the illusion of added width".
4. Colour block
"For an interior that is truly one of a kind, use different coloured wallpapers to create a dramatic piece of art on your walls. By separating different sections of the wall into repetitive shapes to then frame with a heavy-set border will create an eye-catching, dramatic feature wall. 'Stitch' by Harlequin is a perfect example of how colour blocking can impact a room. Framing is a great technique to enhance the vibrancy of each colour block as well as projecting a modern, art nouveau aesthetic."
5. Do a double take
"Wallpaper should be fun, so why not opt for a light-hearted pattern that adds a little humour in the home. 'People' by Harlequin is a wallpaper that features hundreds of painterly silhouettes. From a distance this print looks like any other but after closer inspection 'People' becomes clearer to the unsuspecting eye. Selecting such a visual wallpaper print such as this, will add depth and whimsy to the walls".

Top Tips for buying a worktop online
Stone Masters’ buyers guide to purchasing a work surface online
A quick remedy for refreshing the kitchen without replacing it entirely is to simply update the work surfaces. However, buying a kitchen worktop from an online company can be a daunting task. Neil Shah, Managing Director of Stone Masters, the innovative granite and quartz stone specialists, offers these useful ‘top tips’ when buying a worktop online:
1) Consider what type of kitchen work surface suits your lifestyle. It is vital to choose a material that is hardwearing and durable whilst still maintaining an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The most common materials include laminate, wood, glass and stainless steel. However, the most popular is granite or quartz, which offers quality and practicality.
2) Does the work surface come with a guarantee? Purchasing a worktop online can often be a great money-saver. However, it is important to ask the supplier what procedures they have in place if an issue occurs. At Stone Masters, our stones are covered by the same warrantee as the manufacturer e.g. Compac offers a lifetime guarantee on its quartz, which we pass onto our customers.
3) Check that the fabricator is approved by the manufacturers. If a fabricator is a certified partner with well-known respected manufacturers, such as Silestone, the quality of the service is likely to be superior and trustworthy.
4) Consider the quality skills of the online fabricator. Modern technological advancements means that the inconvenience of manual templating (where the work surfaces would have to be removed for up to a week before replacing them) can be avoided - replaced by the cutting-edge technology of electronic laser templating. We use these techniques at Stone Masters to ensure disruption for the customer is minimal and the surfaces are cut with extreme precision.
5) Choose the thickness of the worktop. Quartz stone offers a great deal more choice due to its flexible attributes. Quartz worktops are available as thin as 12mm, which can be more cost-effective.
6) Always request a free sample. Ensure that you request a tile sample – colours and patterns can often differ from the website image. Quartz and granite can feature a variety of patterns; such a swirls, flecks of colour and veins. Therefore, always order a sample to certify you have made the right decision.
7) Request a quotation. This is a simple process and most online companies can provide instant online quotes. Be sure to measure the size of your current work surfaces carefully so that an accurate quote can be provided.

The Gourmet Guy Needs To Add Sous Vide To His Tool Kit
KitchenAid, the premium manufacturer renowned for its appliances that combine professional performance with stylish design, presents the Chef Touch, an all in one sous vide cooking system perfect for those who see themselves as the next Gordon Ramsay or Heston Blumenthal.
Cooking is now a popular pastime for the modern man, with research* showing that men have tripled the amount of time they're spending in the kitchen today, compared to 1970, an interest that has been heavily influenced by the rise in exciting cookery programmes fronted by influential male chefs. For those men who want to do more than just fry a steak or bake a cake, the KitchenAid Chef Touch offers the ideal opportunity to experiment with a professional cooking style.
This visually stunning and incredibly advanced cooking complex is made up of three first-class products. The Chef Touch comprises of a vacuum-sealing system which preserves food by packing the food in an airless environment; a steam-assist oven for gently cooking or perfectly re-heating food; and a shock freezer for rapid chilling or long-term deep freezing.
These three appliances can be used together to create delicious, restaurant-quality food thanks to sous vide cooking technology, perfect for impressing friends or that special someone. Sous vide cooking is a delicate, high quality, low temperature cooking method that affords culinary creativity, and offers important benefits both for cooking and the preservation of food. The secret of sous vide cooking is that it maintains the organoleptic properties of the food, vacuum-sealing them in special pouches creating an airless environment.
This extends the life of the food by up to three times - the oxygen free environment drastically reduces the growth of bacteria and the effects of oxidation. The absence of air, the sealed pouch and the low temperature steam cooking ensures that the essential flavours, aromas and texture are retained by the food. Several items can be cooked in the oven at once, each in their own separate airtight pouch.
Juliana Sado, Brand Marketing Manager, KitchenAid, says: "The KitchenAid Chef Touch is the ideal cooking system for the gourmet guy who wants to show-off his cooking talent. Those with distinguished, luxurious taste who love to cook and want to create the professional dining experience at home now have the perfect solution.
